EMMA
LAROSE

I’m someone who loves to daydream as much as make a checklist. I grew up at the oldest of three in Thibodaux, Louisiana. I became a bookworm from a young age so when I begin any project, I dive into the research because I love the personalized decisions that come from it and the experimentation it may lead to.  When I’m not creating messes, you can find me reading, hanging out with my friends, or volunteering with dogs.

Making Groceries

Culinary Kids is a soup brand made in mind for eight to twelve year olds who have been determined to be old enough to be left at home alone but are still new to cooking for themselves. The flavors offered are tomato, chicken noodle, and alphabet soup, and the challenge was to appeal to this range of kids and make cooking look fun and approachable.  Most imagery in the project was developed geometrically simple and curvilinear, as well as with keeping a bright color palette relating to the colors found within the soup.

Nancy Drew and the Hidden Staircase - Non-traditional Movie Poster

Nancy Drew and the Hidden Staircase was a 2019 movie that was redesigned into a non-traditional poster by creating a piece to be visually interactive with staircase letterforms and hidden hints in the wallpaper design. Designing the poster also strengthened the modern movie to the book that inspired it using the iconic colors of the book series.

Nancy Drew and the Hidden Staircase - Book Cover

Nancy Drew and the Hidden Staircase is one book in an extensive series that was written around 1930 and entertained multiple generations. With characters, such as Nancy Drew, that believed that anyone could be a sleuth, the book design was treated the same way. The reader becomes a detective themselves as they open secret panels to reveal the information on the book.
